A downloadable game for Windows

When the city detects that a kaiju is approaching, everyone is evacuated - except for one little kid who accidentally sleeps through it all. After realizing that everyone is gone the kid tries to make friends with the city's new visitor.

Super Kaiju Chase is an asynchronous two-player game. The Kid speeds, drifts, and jumps around the city on a tricycle, while Kaiju sneaks and slides behind the cover of buildings.

(This development build of Super Kaiju Chase relies on split screen for two-player support, but a networked multiplayer option is in progress.)

02/12/22 UPDATE:

Goal & Control Discoverability: We noticed that players often had a hard time discovering the goal for the characters, or finding the controls for the Kaiju. The changes below should assist with this.

Kid

  • Goal is listed at start of round for 5 seconds.
  • Sprint no longer requires a directional arrow to activate so it's easier to find.

Kaiju

  • Goal is listed at start of round for 5 seconds.
  • Taunt is moved to its own button so it's easier to find.
  • Directional keys will cause an arrow to draw on the ground in the _preferred_ cover direction. If there is no cover in that direction, the character will move to the closest cover in that direction.
  • Tapping Ctrl (or Space if playing on the left) will move to cover in the displayed direction, rather than requiring short press or long press. Going forward around cover requires pressing forward while leaning.
